Change time - change batteries
« on: November 03, 2011, 08:28:26 am »
This weekend we go  back to regular time - daylight saving time is over.  While you change back your clocks (fall behind one hour), make sure you either change or check the batteries on your smoke or other detectors.

I don't know about you, by my smoke detectors always beep to no end and won't shut up when they need new batteries.  That's reminder enough!  lol

One of mine had a beeping fit this summer so we just went ahead and changed both of them then.  I can't seem to ever get on schedule with changing the time too. :dontknow: :dontknow:

I would much rather have it light in the evening than in the morning.

Thanks for mentioning this because I would have forgotten all about it. Everybody would have been late. LOL

Thank you for the reminder.

I always hate the "fall back" change - just glad I am not working this Sunday morning.

Great Idea to change the batteries on smoke detectors as well.   Looks like I need to
get to the store for more batteries.

Yeah the battery change thing is standard procedure when daylight saving comes around.

Thanks for letting me know...that means we will have shorter days, and longer nights. I do not like it when it gets dark early.

I would like it if sun rose at 6:30 am and stay light until 8:30 am.
