Do you remember your first Christmas song as a child?
« on: December 24, 2011, 12:58:41 am »
I did. When I was in the first grade, my teacher led and taught our class how to sing Jingle Bells. My classmates and I lined up on the stage while some of us shook sleigh bells and we sang our heart out.  Great childhood memories filled with fun. Merry Christmas and have a Safe Blessed Happy Holiday!

I sure don't but it was probably Jingle Bells because it's a fairly easy song for a little kid to remember.

The first song I remember that had something to do with Christmas is Alvin and the Chipmunks "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth".  My favorite song is "What Child is This"

Don't know the first song, way too many and too long ago to recall.
But my favorite--or at least poem with the strongest feeling of the Holiday season is Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost
Even though I live in a hot desert with no snow--ever--its still a strong poem for me.
Some say its boring--maybe because their school used it repeatedly for far too long; but I still love it.

Santa is coming to town is the first Christmas song I remember as a child, but my favorite song is the drummer boy.
