I am sure most teams have some sort of internal "rewards" system set up. But not many have it to the degree the Saints did!

Probably all of them... I see it as a incentive to get them to play... I'm sure this is going on in the locker rooms of most, if not all the teams. A buddy of mine and I had this same discussion yesterday. It's a violent sport...

Yeah, my guess is that probably most of them.  It will be interesting to see how hard Goodell comes down on players/coaches for this.

And what is this teaching our children. That you will be rewarded for hurting someone. I think it is very wrong. They should be fined big time.

is it required that every discussion about everything ever have someone chime in with "what about the children?"

I think many teams do this, or some variation of it.  But I also think the punishment should be severe and harsh towards the Saints.  They received notice from the league to knock it off and they did not listen.  Very similar to what my Pats did a few years ago with spygate crap.  They chose to ignore the league edict and paid dearly for it.  Were they the only ones who did the taping?? Of course not and many league personnel admitted they also did it.  But it was the Pats who got caught.  Same should apply to the Saints.
