I thought of one last night...  If 'Harry' is short for Harold, is 'Harvey' short for Harvard?  ;)

Since "pro" is the opposite of "con" and "progress" is generally a good thing, then "congress" is aptly-named.

Why do banks charge a fee on 'insufficient funds' when they know there is not enough money?

I would really like to know the logic of the banks taking more money to make it even harder on you when you have insufficient funds.

The same rationale applies to owing money to the I.R.S. for failing to pay taxes; they don't care how you come up with what you owe but, you still owe what you couldn't/didn't pay before.

Ok all here is a few more things to ponder, LOL:

When you choke a smurf, what color does it turn?

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

Do vegetarians eat animal crackers?

Why is it that when you're driving and looking for an address, you turn down the volume on the
radio?

What hair color do they put on the drivers licenses of bald men?

If a word is misspelled in the dictionary, how would we ever know?

Why does mineral water that has "trickled through mountains for centuries" go out of date next year?

Veronica: I think it's best to wait until we get to heaven to see what happens and what it's like.
MANY people have MANY ideas, not necessarily correct.
Just leaving our physical bodies will be plenty to adjust to.

There are at least three unsupported assumptions reflected in that superstitious religious remark.

You leave it...NOT take it!

Why do we still call the bathroom the bathroom when it only has a sink and toilet in it?
