This happens to me a lot too! I'll do the best I can to prevent sickness, but yet I'll still contract it somehow. Sometimes I think that all the energy I use to prevent myself from getting sick takes a toll on my immune system, which leads me to get sick. But it usually passes in a couple days, so it's not that bad! Feel better!

I agree. It only takes being next to the wrong person in line to pick up whatever they have. Rest and fluids are the best cures. I pray that you feel better. :)

I know the feeling.  I've been on vacation for a month visiting my fiance.  First I got travel sickness after travelling half way round the world.  Then she got the flu for a week.  Then she gave the flu to me for a week.  Then she went to visit her mom and got sick.  Now I'm starting to feel bad again... think I better get home...

I've been disinfecting everything for weeks.  Never spent this much money on Lysol in a season before.

I'm sure you do this, but it can't be overstated....WASH, WASH, WASH your hands!  All the time!  There was this NightLine thing where they put this invisible spray on 2 kids hands in a classroom of 30.  By the end of the day they used a blacklight to find all the places that spray got and it was ALL OVER THE ROOM! On kid's faces, hands, desks, books, everywhere! Yuck!  Remember, wash in hot water and it'll help with those colds!

The best thing you can do to prevent sickness is be conscious of where your hands have been.  Don't eat or rub your face after handling money, public doorknobs, etc.!

It seems every year at this time, I have to get sick.  I think eating at buffet's that don't change the dish up utensils tends to spread a lot of germs.  Just my thought!!!

Hand Wash, Hand Wash,  But I am with everyone elese.  I have been sick twice so far.  Makes me wonder though because other than grocery shopping I have been mostly home.  When my children were in school they always brought the sickness home from school.  I believe many working parents send the child to school sick because they cannot afford to stay home.

Given the time of year and the nice weather many areas are experiencing - are you 100% sure you are sick?  Could it be allergies instead?

I know I started sneezing a few days ago - and I know know those were allergy related, not sickness.  Took me a while to figure out the difference as depending on how severe my allergies were, I sometimes felt like I was sick, but I wasn't.  Once I started to realize it might be allergies and took some antihistamine, within hours I started feeling so much better.  Cleaning can help reduce, but won't stop allergies.

I recalled suggesting that to a friend a couple years ago.  She thought she constantly got sick every spring, and it turned out it was allergies instead.

Just tossing that out there - if you know you suffer from allergies, take one of your allergy pills to see if your symptoms subside.  If so, you've got allergies and not a cold.

OMG.  That so scares me.  I need to up my hand washing.  I know I can do better...though I don't know if that is how I'm getting sick.  I keep getting ear infections, not sure if hands have anything to do with that or not.  Either way, I'm thinking about how much stuff my hands touch every day and I'm now reaching for the hand sanitizer.
