I don't know the pain you are going through, but may have some ideas.  I have a brother who has special needs.  He speaks and talks like a child and enjoys activities of a younger child even though he is 43.  He does maintain a job and was diagnosed as a child as having an audio processing disability.  I would guess now that he may be diagnosed with aspergers or high functioning autism.

I have a son who suffers from anxiety and depression and probably also has some level of adhd.  Many of his difficulties are similar to those that have autism.  Extended family doesn't always understand.  I feel your pain.  Perhaps you can join a group of parents that are also dealing with an autistic child and you might gain a support system moving forward.

I wish the best for you and your family.  I will pray for you.
Thank you for your kind words.. And I feel for you also.. I wish you all the best with your brother and your son.. god bless!!!

My nephew is Autistic and my sister is losing it more everyday. He is 4 years old....She is slipping away further and further. I know it is hard when your child has a disability but you can't let it take over you as my sister has...She in herself has lost her grip on reality... I am afraid she will never be the same. He does not sleep well so neither does she. She isn't taking care of herself. Not eating, not sleeping... How can you care for your children if you don't care for yourself. Especially one that is Autistic. She has help, he has all sorts of therapies and goes to school. What can I do to help her more? I myself has two children and one of my nephew living with me.... I really think she needs a therapist too. Is this something that you do? Please let me know how I can be more helpful to her.
I wish you all the best. All I can say is just be there for your sister.Caring for a child with autism is one of the most stressful things in the world. god bless!!!

It is so hard! Yes, I know where you are coming from.  My youngest have autism, when he was 4 years old I knew it was something wrong with my baby because  he was in his own world.   I have wonderful teachers that helped me with my son and now he is 11 years old he is aware of his surroundings.  When they say it takes a village to raise a child, well it takes much much much more to raise a special needs child!   Remember you are not alone.   :angel11:
