CORPORATE GREED
« on: May 22, 2012, 05:36:04 pm »
I've heard other folks complain before about this, but what just happened to me was a GROSS VIOLATION of ethics at any level. I spent 30 minutes taking a survey which included ranking companies, providing my opinions, writing mini-essays on this and that, etc., only to be told at the conclusion of this long survey that I had been DISQUALIFIED. Huh?

Companies that have us take a survey for an extended period where we are providing them with our rankings and written opinions and then DISQUALIFY us should be TAKEN TO TASK and WARNED about this kind of UNETHICAL corporate greed. FC understandably does not want us to say negative things about the sponsors, but when the sponsors DELIBERATELY RIP US OFF, the sponsors should be held accountable.

I understand how you feel, that is why I stopped relying on surveys. I also believe that these survey companies take the information from start to disqualify and use that for their reports as well. Not just the information they gather from start to completed (pay out). Unfortunately we'll never know if that is true cause they would never admit it

I agree, Cece. While the qualification vs disqualification process is not transparent to the end-uses, once the sponsors get any input from us, we can't help but suspect they probably take it.

To be fair, most companies asking for our opinions seem to be above board and if they are going to disqualify us, do so early on. Okay, got it; that's not a problem and that's not the kind of cheating I'm talking about.

I sent a complaint to Support about this particular survey. It's not that I need the $1 or $2 or whatever. It's not about the money. It's about ethics on the part of this particular sponsor. If they rip the end-users off, they are ripping FusionCash off as well.

Indeed this is an outrage.. But what is to be done? Isn't there something in their privacy policy about this? Does anyone actually read those things? Or just click "I Agree"? I am certain they use information we provided whether we complete the survey or not, most of which claim we have disqualified 20-30 minutes into the survey.  Anyone else think this is all just a load of....  :bs: ?

I have had this happen before and I just DO NOT take the surveys anymore.  It is not worth it.

I agree. Wish I had received credit for all the times this has happened to me. Hope FC is doing their best to screen this problem out.

I've stopped doing surveys for the same reason. I got tired of spending 30 minutes to an hour working on a survey only to be told at the end that I didn't qualify.

Yeah I've said before on the forums that people should only do the surveys that credit most often for them and don't waste too much time doing them if you don't have the time to waste and prepare yourself for disappointment.  Sometimes there could be days where you get qualified for every daily survey but most times most of the surveys I wouldn't get qualified for; if any of them.  The only surveys I try for anymore to be honest are the FC surveys.

Point of fact and with respect to FC sponsors. Just took a Sampilicious survey. Got through the entire survey successfully. When the survey re-routed back to Sampilicious, disqualification notice was received. Sites not communicating properly maybe?

I understand the frustration as this has happened to me. However, the majority of the money I make comes from the surveys. More times than not, when I get to the end of a survey, I get credit for it. The good outweighs the bad, so when I don't qualify, I just keep trying. Persistence is the key, and also patience.

I agree. But, if there is a "communication glitch" I feel it should be corrected.

More often than not they're getting something for nothing.

For the same reason & from the beginning, I don't do surveys b/c they ask the same things,it's not interesting, & in the end you see the same thing...thank you for participating but sorry you did not qualify for this survey. :BangHead:

The only time I do surveys is when I'm interested in the topic or I have background knowledge about the survey &  I usually succeed in those conditions.

Recently, I've notice that FC has been sending me surveys via email. I kind of like it because it knocks out that extra step where you have to get on FC then look for a survey. I did do a FC survey from my email & was disqualified but I didn't feel bad b/c FC credited 1 cent for taking the time to do it! The FC member that suggested that is a genius! :notworthy:

All I can say is, don't let this survey issue get you upset. It's a waste of energy when you can be doing something more productive then venting over a survey.
