having trouble cashing check from FC
« on: May 23, 2012, 09:45:11 am »
I AM HAVING TROUBLE CASHING MY FC CHECK HERE IN NY. I WENT TO 3 DIFFERENT BANKS AND CHECK CASHING PLACES AND WHEN THEY SEE IT SAYS SAN JOSE, CA THEY LOOK AT ME AS IF I WAS CRAZY. THE REASON WHY I ASKED FOR A CHECK WAS SO I CAN TAKE A PICTURE OF MY PAYMENT AND POST IT UP. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT WHEN IT HAS A NUMBER WHERE THEY CAN VERIFY THE CHECK. HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM??

That is why i chose paypal. get your money faster and no problems transferring it into your bank account. You can still do the post a pic of your payment too by posting a pic of the screenshot showing your FC cashout into your account. I have received checks from other programs and haven't had any issues with my bank. Do you have your own bank account??? They may not want to take out of state checks from you if you don't have an account with them just in case it may bounce or be fake( which FC is not).

I think you make a really good point about having a bank account. Most banks will not let you cash checks if you don't have an account with them. I have tried to cash out my coins with my old bank and they wouldn't let me do that because I no longer had an account there. I got my first payment as a check and now I do Paypal because it is so much better. I hope you are able to work it out you might have to go to a check cashing place and just pay the small fee Good Luck.

Most Banks won't cash a check unless you have an account there, OR the check is from their bank.

I don't get a check the money goes directly in to my account.
If you have a personal bank, just deposit it.

Do you have a Mr. Payroll (check cashing center) in your area?  I am on a few other sites like this that checks are the only option for payment and Mr. Payroll cashes all of them for me.

If you have a bank account just deposit it into your account and write a check for what you need money wise.  Just open you up a paypal account then you can transferr it to your account later.  Thats what I do.

I live in FL and have no problems. I just started doing Direct deposit and it was super fast. Bank of America accepts the checks with no problems and so does Amscot.
