So falcon9 , what sort of game design ? Anything we might be able to play hmmm ?

All four games developed, (or well into the development process), are tested for playability and two of these are in the process of licensing the publications rights out.  The entire process, from initial concept, through design & development, to production/publication can be a lengthy one.

Due to copyright considerations, none of these games can be described here, (plus, that would be plugging my products - a TOS violation).
In general, however these are essentially 'strategy' types of games so far.

Game design is something I've discovered that I enjoy; especially those games which more fully immerse the players' minds while still being 'fun' to play.

Well just let me know when you CAN say something about them as I am an avid gamer. :)

Yes I do love dragons. My husband is the phoenix fan. In the online game I met him in my character's name was Dragonfaire and his was Quetzalcoatl. I made this painting for him on our anniversary.

That is awesome lol!

Anne McCraffrey's DragonRider series continuation is greatly missed by my gf and although she and I didn't meet in an online game, (which is no doubt not as uncommon as it once was), your situation does relate to ours in other somewhat obscure ways.  Yours is a unique anniversary gift.

One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

Will do.  The two closest to being put on the market relate to chess and checkers in a uniquely-copyrighted way.  The others are of different genres and are still under development, as mentioned.

The first two's marketing has been delayed mainly due to parallel product release desires, (hopefully, these will become available in both boardgame and computer/app formats - which is taking longer than anticipated).

While Anne's gone now, there have been several games released based on the Pern series.

"In 1983 Mayfair Games created a board game "Dragonriders of Pern" featuring cards with Pern characters and locations. This game is now rare and valuable to Pern collectors.

In 1983, Epyx released a video game "Dragonriders of Pern" for the Atari 800 and Commodore 64 in which the player could battle Thread and engage in diplomacy on Pern.

In 2001 a video game Dragon Riders: Chronicles of Pern was created by Ubisoft Entertainment for the PC and Dreamcast under license from zyntopo teoranta (Irish corporation); the owners of the motion picture, gaming and ancillary Rights. This game follows a dragonrider as he Searches for young women to be candidates for Impressing a new gold dragon, and battles the "bad guys" on an adventure across Pern.

A number of online MUD-style games have been created exploring the Pern universe, most notably PernMUSH. These are unofficial and tend to centre on role-playing rather than combat." -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragonriders_of_Pern

*chuckle*  I'm a private contractor who may be hiring at some point, depending upon what your husband can contribute - what does he do?

I see. Unhappy with his job or, just looking at other options?  Someone who can 'get down in the trenches and hack code' will be useful down the line as well as a bit of analyzing the overall integrating of different game modules.  He is doubtless aware that game design can be significantly more complex than business applications, yes?

Yep, I pretty much had extrapolated that.  He'd be very likely to enjoy the games being developed then, although I can't be sure.  The larger game companies tend to repeat the same general genre patterns, (something I try to avoid as an independent contractor), and that's a bit 'crappy'.
