Now a days us women have to take up the rolls of men because there are a lot of men out there that don't take care of business. My Daughter sent me a text on fathers day that said: Happy fathers day mom. I know your not a dad but you do the job of both parents. It made me so happy that she see's that and is greatful.

I think there is a mixture of it all.  Men do more things with kids and at home than what was common even 40 years ago.  Shoes are just unisexual now LOL
The definition of what sex does what roles, several do not apply in today's society.  Women can be a CEO or an engineer, previously viewed as a male position.  Women are lawyers and loan officers...not just paralegals and tellers.
I'm all for equal opportunity.  And I believe women are very capable of achieving similar goals that men set for themselves in the work field.  I completely see how the two sexes are different, physically and mentally.  But I don't see either sex as 'superior' over the other.

I agree with you Chrisfan. I was also raised that just because you are a woman, dosen't mean you can do anything. Even when i was a stay at home mom on the ranch and farm i did the work of the field hands. Who says a woman can't do a mans job sucks.

Why don't you first define "the roles of men". And while you're at it, define what then "the roles of women" are. Women can do virtually anything a man can do and vice versa. Just about the only thing a woman can't do that a man can, is get a woman pregnant. Aside from reproduction and the anatomical differences, men & women should be viewed on an equal level when it comes to "men's work" versus "women's work". If a woman wants to work in construction, there should be no discrimination so long as she can get the job done. If a man wants to work as a nurse, again there should be no discrimination so long as he can get the job done. Sexism needs to die along with racism.
