I'm always amazed b/c all major cities and many small towns have their own displays, so why people still go out and do their own I don't understand. It doesn't mean you're able to do anything more than light a fuse and every single year the 5th of July is full of stories of folks who screwed up doing that. It's sad when kids get hurt b/c they should be protected by adults that know better.  I used to live in FL and there were fools that would shoot guns into the air, as if bullets going up never came down. the next day there'd be stories of folks injured by this as well

Due to the fires in my state, fireworks are banned- even sparklers. I really don't mind because they cost a lot and even sparklers are known for causing injuries. I enjoy a really good fireworks show put on by the cities. After that, everything else that is usually legal where I live is anticlimactic.
