Was pretty much a went as planned event.  We went out to Grapevine laked and cooled off in the water and cooked up a brisket and hot dogs.  Than played around until the fireworks show.  Grandkids, parents, and grandpa were all worn out by the time it was all over.

We went to a shelter at the lake to barbeque where a giant racoon decided he wanted our dinner, where my husband threw a full pepsi at him, but it didn't scare him away. He waited for food, so we turned on our headlights, packed up our belongings and left, I did leave him some scraps though.

We had a wonderful day. We had a bbq and went to the park. Later we did some fireworks then went to see some of the fireworks that was being put on by a town near us. We had perfect weather in the 70's. Couldn't have been a better day.

We had a hot fourth this year too.  Had to wait until nearly 7 p.m. just to cook out on the grill and even then it was too hot.  Had burgers, brats and dogs.  Did some fireworks with the kids in the back yard and had a bonfire.  The kids all had a blast and nobody was hurt.  A great day all around.  Time to start saving up for next years celebration.

We were thinking of going over to the fireworks and then just stood out in our street and watched them all go off withing 10 min. and then the rains came. Had almost 2" of that wet stuff that we had been paraying for. It was most welcome in our poor dry county. I will forego anything thing just too have some rain and cool weather.
