Would you stop to pick up a penny?

When I was a kid I used to pick up penny's because I thought it would give me good luck.  When I became a adult I stop believing it and I don't pick them up anymore.

The old saying "A penny saved is a penny earned" is absolutely true.  Maybe more now than when the phrase was 'coined.'

Yes I'd pick up a penny.  I still remember the days of penny candy and such!

On Good Morning America the other day the had a story about A Milford, Mass., man who saved his pennies to pay off his mortgage--literally. He carted more than 62,000 pennies to the bank to make his last payment. He saved them for 35 years.

yes I do, in this economy money is money, sometimes I wonder if the cooper in it is worth more the the penny is

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't but I don't think they use copper for pennies anymore.

Sometimes I do. My sister will pickup ones that are tails and turn them heads up so it makes someone elses day - pretty awesome of her

Yes I would pick up penny coz money is money. When Im with my mom n when I see changes on da ground she said only poor people do that but I don't care I still pick it up.

Yes I would pick up a penny because it would be a sign of good luck. I was told that by my father who was 77 when he passed. My Father always told me that when you find money on the ground is a sign of goodluck.

i pick up change if i see it on the ground, doesnt make a difference what kind of coin it is

I've heard the whole "heads up penny is good luck"...what about if it landed tails up but somebody flipped it? Anyway, yeah, I tend to pick up money if I see it, without being too obvious....to be fair though, I try to donate as much of it as I can, since I feel bad that it's not really mine

I would always pick up a penny mostly because it says "in God We Trust."

I will always stop to pick up a penny. we then put in a special jar, and usually find enough pennies to amount to a bit of money.
