Don't know why he would think he was the Joker, but I found out he was a medical student that had dropout of school.  Sad that everything ended the way that it did

It really is tragic and breaks my heart.  I'm so saddened by all the violence and crime in the country today.  Are we going to have to put metal detectors in movie theaters now?  It seems nowhere is safe.  Next it'll be an outdoor park or concert.  Just so heartbreaking.   :'(

I thought the "joker" thing was just a rumor? But the incident was tragic. Security is surely more tightened and people are advised not to wear mask during the event, which I don't blame the theatres and authorities.

I live in colorado and my kids, thirteen and fifteen, went to a different theatre that night for a Dark Night marathon from 6:00 PM until 3:10 AM.  I wen to pick them up after the movie and they had four squad cars parked outside.  My kids said that there were two police in each theatre as a precautionary step against copy cats or a conspiracy. When I heard where it had happened I figured it was just another senseless Gang shooting because that area is really nasty and known for a high rate of crime...I found it humerous that the Mayor said that Aurora was a low crime area.
