Dirty thirty

Ok now, My son and his friends are all turning 30 this year. they are all saying it's the dirty thirty....does ANYONE know what that phrase actually means? my daughter is 34 and she never even heard of it...is it a guy thing?  :dontknow:

I'm thinking it means something 'dirty'. It's from that Robbin Williams movie Garp.  :dontknow:

I think it was refers to that there almost over the hill the gift 40 they become over the hill so 3030 is they're getting close to over the hill.

I never heard the term before, but can't say I'm fond of it either. I've been feeling my body has been collapsing ever since I went pass thirty.

It's also a name used at Guatanamob bay for prisoners that were believed to be Osama Bin Laden's leaders but I don't think they mean that!

I haven't heard of that particular term.  It sounds like something that may be used by people who don't like that they are leaving their twenties.

hey it might mean that when u get to b 30 & up u get nastyer i think thats what they mean i dont wont to say more then that or it could mean telling them kind of jokes or u just get plain dirty from working & has nothing 2 do with sex talk thats what i think
