HELLS kitchen
« on: April 11, 2009, 01:53:25 pm »
chef ramsey is a real piece of work.. Do he not think about trying a little tenderness. I'm like what a tool this guy is always yeling and cursing oh and the really most disgusting thing of all the SPITTING omg! Is it suposed to add flavor I mean really why can't he stop being a QUEEN all the time and just LET THE PEOPLE COOK..for the love of food man I'm so nervous I forget that I'm not on set and can use my own GD bathroom without waiting on the show to go to commercial..he should take a side order of prozac or whatever's new in the world of medicine that will bring him back long enough to let the people cook without him playing warden. I really don't know if I watch to see if the next contestant needs me to hit the speed dail for 911 or to see if the pressure is gonna make someone stab him.

I absolutely love, love, love Gordon Ramsey. He tends to come off as cruel and insensitive to most, but speaking as someone who has had the opportunity to meet him and experience his cooking, he's just so passionate about what he does.

If you watch his other shows, such as The F Word, he's not like that at all. I believe that his attitude stems from the group of incompotent idiots he has to work with. If I had to put up with such people. I'd probably be screaming at them all the time as well. He only ever yells when they are royally screwing things up.

Ramsey is AWESOME. Try watching BBCA, his shows on that network are brilliant compared to the over-amplified stuff  on FOX. The two shows he does in the UK are way more appealing and informative- it goes way beyond the silly reality paradigm that we have established in the states.

I quite agree. The F word and kitchen nightmares are soo much better than Hell's Kitchen. It just goes to show how image obessesed and vapid we Americans must seem to the rest of the world.

I am getting ready to watch HELLS Kitchen actually because that is what my husband and I do on thursday nights before playing couples game night.  I agree that he seems like an absolute jerk, but I also have watched F Word and the other BBC show that is on, and my husband has like 3 of his books, so I know he is just ridiculously amazing at what he does.  My husband is a chef and would love to meet Chef Ramsey.  Actually, I am trying to get him to try-out for Hells Kitchen or Top Chef because he is great at his work and is creative with food.

I love him soo much! I've met him before and eaten food prepared by him, and he is absolutely fantastic! He has a great deal talent, and actually attempts to share his talent with others, which makes him a great person, even if he does have a bit of a dirty mouth. And likes to yell on ocassion.

I like to watch Chef Ramsey, but I don't watch Hell's Kitchen.  I like to watch Kitchen Nightmares on the BBC.

Kitchen Nightmares is a good show, but I personally like F Word better, though.

Chef Ramsey is really a bone head on that show.  Supply and demand in the USA because they know so many americans are crude and crass and knew this type of show would appeal to the masses.

I honestly believe that half the people on that show are actors or actresses. Chef Ramsey is okay, but I think he yells just to hype up the show. From all this discussion, it makes me want to watch his other shows to see how it is.
