You should work for what you get and dont expect a hand out, that includes welfare. If your on welfare you should do some sort of community service for it. No more free hand outs. Our country can no longer afford it and I think that is what Romney is saying.

When there was a republican president most of these programs were being abused and we had the biggest amount of illegals coming over the border also abusing the system, but then you get a democrat president now all of sudden there is this big problem of people on welfare. When Clinton was in office he actually did something about it which is why you have welfare to work programs so no one is getting a free ride except for those ones who have found a way to manipulate the system and the most high numbers are in Republican states. There is time limits for the parents and he also put in place that if you get pregnant and are on welfare you do not get any more cash aid for children if you have more after that child is born. There are not many Mother/Fathers getting the cash aid part its mostly children of low income families. There is many getting food stamps, because even though they may have a job it still doesn't pay enough to support to feed they family and also pay rent, clothing, etc. Just like they keep saying Obama is the one who started this free phone service when it was actually Bush and in some states only, also some states he started the free internet program also. In my opinion Republicans keep doing things that only screw the country up even worse and then Democrats have to come along and clean up the mess. Bush had 8 yrs to fix immigration but him and his buddies didn't wanna lose they nannies or they lawn keepers. He had 8 yrs to keep up with the welfare system. That man screwed up big time but now you think another Repub can fix the problem. Don't think so to me. Sometimes it pays to learn about things before saying things that most are unaware of.

There all hypocrites but I dont care what you folks think of abortion. All though myself I have never had one, but it if I did want too I dont want a bunch of prolife junkies in my business about what I do with my body. Also Many folks dont like republicans because they are for the rich and they have borrowed from medicare and other things to pay for wars. To me Romney is a liar and no Im not gonna sit here and point out why I feel this way cause I dont have to. If you dont like Obama stop whinning and just dont vote for him simple as that. :angry7:

Because not voting for Obama means that his policies will not affect me, right? You know whats great about this country? I can complain all I want to, regardless or whether or not I voted.
If you dont vote thats your choice. Im speaking to the ones who think that the only person on the ballot is just 2 people. There is other parties and if you dont like none of them then your choice is neither so dont twist my words like i was speaking to you directly cause you dont vote. I really dont care what others do with they vote I only care about mines.

Its is my choice., and yet you tell people to stop whining and just not vote for him. Which leads me back to my post. I didn't twist your words, you didn't state that if you don't like Obama then don't vote for him. You instead you told people to stop whining. Which again leads me back to my response.

My response remains the same. If all you really read was the whinning part then thats on you. Afterall this post is about Obama being a hypocrite and not about you and how you think who you vote for whether or not you vote.

I agree with you. Romney has his faults. Obama has shown his lies from day one even before he was president. He didnt get my vote the first time and he sure wont get it this time. In case you are wondering I didnt vote for mccain either. We as americans cannot afford liars. We need someone there for us. I wasted my voice in 2008 I however will not do it again.

I didn't respond to the rest of your post because I actually agree with it. I don't agree with the thinking that if someone wants to complain they should just not vote for them. It undermines one of our basic freedoms, and ignores the fact that voting isn't the only form of expression this country has.

Politicians in general are hypocrites.  I wouldn't trust Romney anymore than I'd trust Obama.  Republicans and Democrats might have stood for something over the previous decades, but now days they both have the same goal in mind.  How can we gain more power and keep it.  They both want to expand the government in their own ways.  To me, that makes them both scary.

 we should vote obama out before he ruins our country. he has done absolutely nothing to help unemployment. if we put people back to work it will ioncrease the tax base and with moderate cuts in spending we can have a balanced budget. as far as two unfunded wars. who in america did not think we should not have went after al-quaida and the taliban after 911. i think the whole country was behind the president on that decision. what was we supposed to do be like clinton and do nothing like he did after the first trade center attack. look what happened a secound more devastating attack. as far as iraq with the intelligence presented to the president he beleived he was protecting america from a terrorist threat with weapons of mass destruction. if we do a pre-emptive attack on iran is that not the same thing? so do not blame a president for trying to protect the homeland. i do not think any war we have been involved in was planned and financed. was the civil war financed ?no was spanish-american war financed?no www one or two? how about korea or vietnam? we borrowed money for every war and we survived. obama has one war not two yet his deficeit is higher in four years than all eight of busch. i rest my case

I agree with you about abortion, but you are wrong about republicans opening up Social Security and Medicare so they could borrow from it and use it to fund other programs. In fact Republicans tried to stop the practice but Democrats blocked the bill in the Senate.

See attached: "In 1999, Republican Congressman Wally Herger sponsored a "lockbox" bill in the House of Representatives. This law would have restricted Congress from using money borrowed from the Social Security program to spend on other government programs. It passed the House by a vote of 416 to 12.
http://thomas.loc.gov/

* Senate rules allow for a "filibuster," in which certain votes can be blocked unless 60 of the Senate's 100 members agree to let it take place.[249] [250] In the Senate, Republicans attempted to bring this bill up for a vote, and it was blocked by a filibuster conducted by Democrats. All 55 Republicans voted to allow the bill to move forward. All but one of 45 Democrats voted to block the bill, and one Democrat did not vote.[251]" (U.S. Senate roll call vote number 170: "On the Motion to Invoke Cloture on H.R.1259." 106th Congress, United States Senate, June 16, 1999. http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/...
