woke up with no voice don't no why

Sounds like larengitus drink tea or gargle with salt water. good thing we have the pc to talk or type.

HAs happened to me more than once! sometimes it can be treated with sprays and antibiotics, other times it is just a waiting game. depends on the cause. I get it from sinus infections with postnasal drip but also with no warning and no infection... good luck!

I remember getting larengitus -- more than once.  Blamed it on another cold; turned out it was a post nasel drip that made the throat and voice box raw.

My doctor put me on Zyrtec to control the drip.  Still take generic Zyrtec (non-prescription now) and it keeps the drip under control and, happily, no larengitus since.

I think I may be headed there now.  I woke up this AM with a sore throat and my voice down in my chest.  Hope it's back for the weekend

oh wow hope you feel better soon and get your voice back-- i can't imgine not being able to talk i think i would go insane!! lol
