« on: November 29, 2012, 10:09:42 am »
we always get invited to at least 1 where my guy works but we don't go because he works with a bunch of people who are between 18-25  and we are both in our 50's plus he is not crazy about his boss and neither am i so when we do parties it is with people who are our age

I will be going to my husbands work party for some yummy food and to watch their yankee swap.  Its during the day and he gets paid for it.  We usually also go to his sisters house on Christmas Eve for snacks and a yankee swap but we will be skipping that one this year since its during the week and we want to watch our nephew open presents.   :bunny:

We are not having one this year due to budget cuts.  We are having a potluck instead.  Not many people are coming since it is during work hours.  Even though we covered all lunch hours.   I was hoping for a bigger turn out.  Maybe next year... :dontknow:

I go to the Christmas party at the nursing home but at work I kind of ease out of there on my lunch break and go home. I go to lunch at 10:00 and a lot of times when we're having something its not ready yet, anyway.

I haven't been to a Christmas in a few years, but when I did we had great parties at expensive restaurants with our boss springing for the check for food and something to drink.  Then we went home and not back to work.  Those were the fun days.
