Yep, tried that and it seems to be a hit or miss if you ask me...more of a miss.  I have not gotten paid for it yet so I just gave up.  Maybe someone else will have more luck.  :dog:

It definitely works. Of course, you have to enter your search words in the open box next to the FC logo. Typically, it takes about 5 or 6 searches to earn 1 penny. When you get to that point a little box pops up on the lower right side of your screen to say your search was valid. The box will also appear to tell you if your search was not valid. Good luck!

That was the way it was for me until a few days ago.  :dontknow:

I had no interest in downloading the FC search bar. I tried a few others and I didn't like them. But I hope it works great for anyone else.

I'll tell you what I do that works.

1. 4 different searches for whatever comes to mind =$.1

2. 4 different searches for whatever comes to mind =$.1

3. 4 different searches for whatever comes to mind =$.1

4. 4 different searches for whatever comes to mind =$.1

And at the end of the day I have $.5 from 16 different searches of words I'd never before searched

I never realized how many searches I make a day until I started using the toolbar.  I almost always make the maximum of five cents.  Most days, I make many more searches after I have reached my maximum, even though I am not getting paid.  To use the search feature, type your search words into the box at the lefthand side of the toolbar. The box contains the Yahoo logo and the words, "Search and Earn."  When the search results come up, I always make sure I open one of the results.  Each time you make a valid search, the toolbar counts it for you.  At the beginning of the month you will have 0 searches.  With each valid search you complete, the counter will let you know how many valid searches you have made for the month. It will also show you how much money you have accumulated.  After your first 20 searches for the month, the toolbar will show that you've made $.20.  After you've reached your limit for the day, your toolbar will say, "Maximum Search Rewards Earned." I think it's awesome that someone will pay me for doing searches that I would be doing anyway.  I love the cash back feature, too, and the "quick links" are very convenient.

I haven't had any trouble with the searches and I make it a point to do it everyday. Yeah, it's not much but every bit helps. If you don't see it crediting in your toolbar, try checking your account. Sometimes they post there before your toolbar.

If I'm not mistaking, I believe it depends on which browser you're using and I believe it has to be Firefox browser in order for it to work.  Because I mainly use chrome, I haven't tried using the FC toolbar, but being in other forums, I remember members talking about the FC toolbar.  I even noticed with the paid videos, I have to view them using Firefox because when using Chrome, I wasn't getting credit for viewing the videos and now that I use Firefox to view videos, I now get credit for each video I view so again, it could simply be your browser you're using.

sometimes you need to reinstall the toolbar if it is not functioning properly
