Do you really notice a taste difference when cooking with mayo or Miracle Whip?  I can't really tell a difference.

I like mayo much better

:cat: I am a mayo fan and yes, I can taste the difference in mayo and miracle whip. Rather it is an ingredient in a recipe (like chocolate cake) or spread on bread for a sandwich. Miracle Whip has a more salad dressing taste - more vinegary.

I like Miracle Whip.  Mayo seems to curdle and tastes greasy to me.

I like Mayonnaise far better than Miracle Whip.  Too me, Miracle Whip is sour.

I prefer Miracle Whip. For the longest time(many, many, years) I have been using Miracle Whip without realizing that I was not using mayonnaise. Who knew it was dressing. I was totally blind-sided by the fact that the product looked like mayonnaise, so why would I need to read it  ;D  ;D if it looks like a duck(mayonnaise), taste like a duck(mayonnaise) then it must be MAYONNAISE, lol, lol......................

I do not eat either one, I won't eat it in anything either, I usually have to take hamburgers back into restraunts because they put mayo on them.

I'm definitely no fan of Miracle Whip, and in fact, mayonaise I only have occassionally.

i don't have a preference but  i can taste the difference, miracle whip has a tangy and sweet taste and the mayonnaise doesn't.

Even though I don't buy it that much, I definitely choose Miracle Whip. That's all my mom bought when I was growing up. I like the sweetness of it. I have never bought mayo myself, although I have tried it. The taste is too plain for me.
