Watched the British version of The Voice and I have to say that I think it’s pretty funny that nine times out of ten not one of the other three judges makes a move without first consulting Will.i.am.

I don’t get the Voice’s british version.  I mean a lot of times the judges are sitting there dancing to the singer but they don’t hit the button to turn their chair around to allow the singer to know they were really grooving to the music.  I think that’s so wrong.  If you’re dancing to it, you must like it.  Why not hit the button?

Not too many shows I’ve been watching this season but from day one I’ve been hooked on the Following.  James Purefoy is just sooo good as Joe Carroll that all the other characters including Kevin Bacon’s Ryan Hardy just support him rather than play off him as his equal.

I can believe why they brought back Doctor Who but honestly it just makes me laugh to think he’s actually gone into the 21st century.  Like the immortal James Bond they should get together and do a movie.  They have sooo much in common.

My Grandmother, God Rest her soul, being Italian was a fan of Mario Lanza, like her own mother.  He truly has a beautiful voice, which is showcased in his movies which wouldn’t be a problem accept back in the forties and fifties it was not ‘let’s make a movie and stick a talented person in’ it was ‘let’s showcase their talent’.  That being the standard, the scripts for movies like the ones people like Mario Lanza, or Sonja Henie do just stink because its not about the story its about showing what they are known for.  That being said, I just finished watching Serenade, which is one of Lanza’s only two great movies and perhaps because it is based on a book, the script is not only strong but Lanza really can act.  He had a lot of personal stress from his wife causing him to eat alot which is why he is heavy in the movie but his acting is just amazing.  I was totally blown away.

Anyone catch the season finale of "Walking Dead", it was so anti-climactic and underwhelming, I expected big action...

When I was growing up, my favorite show was "Dark Shadows".  I loved that show and wondered where the exec's minds were when they cancelled it.  There are some shows of now that can go, but they can bring back Dark Shadows now. :star:

Just got the Greatest American Hero complete series.  Used to watch it with my grandmother when it was on tv.  It’s still funny twenty years later.

I miss shows like the greatest American hero with William Katt.  It was light hearted and funny.  A good combination after a stressful day.

While the fight scenes are goofy and Will Katt’s areal flight is the same they just change the background, Greatest American Hero is still as enjoyable now as it was back when it was on tv.

I honestly can’t believe James Gandolfini is dead.  I mean they said a heart attack, not even a sudden one but wasn’t it like yesterday the Sopranos ended?  He put Jersey on the map and ya after the Sopranos he was stero cast and didn’t really do anything after that but still.  It isn’t his fault it ended by just going black but that isn’t his fault.  He will deffinately be missed.

How odd is that James Gandolfini, best known for his three time Emmy win for Tony Soprano, a mob boss out of New Jersey, should die in Italy.  Yes he was on a brief vacation there and was in Italy to receive an award at the Taormina Film Fest (in Sicily) but still.  It’s just a shame is 13year old son Michael (who discovered him on the bathroom floor at the hotel they were staying at (Boscolo Exedra) will have the memory of seeing his father in those last few moments (since he died in route to the hospital.)

I think it’s befitting that the day after James Gandolfini’s death Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band (which features Gandolfini’s costar Steven Van Zandt on guitar) gave a full album performance and dedicated it to Grandolfini.  They used the 1975 classic Born to Run though I think they should have used a later album or chosen specific songs to repeesent Gandolfini though Born to Run was their break out album.
