My granddaughters' names are Ayana Janelle and Aniya Janice.  My grandson's father is named Andre, and my husband's name is Alvin.

My husband and I had a girl's first name picked out early on (Cynthia - we called her Cyndi) and tried and tried to think of a middle name that would go with it.  We finally came up with Angelique - French for Little Angel.

Thank you for this question.  It actually brought back great memories.  My grandmother's name was actually Alvina and she asked us why no one ever named any of the kids or grandkids after her.  Well, I considered naming my first son Alvin, but everyone hit me with the chipmunk jokes and that Alvin is the bad one - so my son is an Andrew.

And, although it has nothing to do with that story, my daughter is an Amanda.

i always liked the name aaron. my fiance didnt like it and he wanted to name our son gabriel so we did.

I know this sounds a little old fashioned but the name Abby sounds sooo pretty and it means Joy of the Father.

Here are a few others Ariel, Aimee means beloved friend, and for the really daring Akiko means sparkle and bright and Akemi, which means bright and beautiful.
