i've come to realize that people are "either/or" about this topic...you usually like one more than the other. so which are you? an elvis lover? or beatles lover?

it's the beatles hands down for me. they were innovators and revolutionaries. sure elvis was "the king", but i honestly didn't see what was so great about his music. plus, he actually tried to have john, paul, george, and ringo kicked outta the country for their "unamerican drug use". ironic isn't it? who's the one who od'd? on a toilet nonetheless. anyways, guess i'm a little bitter about that one.

right on, man.. there's really no contest between the two. i mean, elvis is alright.. i quite like some of his stuff.. but nobody has ever had such a variety as the beatles.. they paved the road for so many artists, it's insane. they are awesomeness and there's really no better word for it ;p

But on the other hand my mom listens to The Beatles and my grand mom listens to Elvis.

You know, the Beatles wrote so many incredible songs. They really did contribute so much to music as we know it. That said, I'm an Elvis man. The Beatles made so much great music. More than Elvis by far. The Beatles are just more important. But The Beatles aren't cool! Seriously. It's all about The King.

Definately the beatles.  Their songs are more lively and vibrant than elvis.  And timeless, you can listen to the beatles now on the radio and you would forget that it was made so many years ago.  When you hear elvis music now, its sound ancient.  He did have a nice voice however.
