It was only a matter of time  happened in 1908 they have been talking about this for weeks what may happen  as it was coming so close to earth.As for it being the end of the world who knows I've heard that my whole life and well we're still all here

I don't follow the news....what was going on?

a small meteorite was incoming over Russia and it got shot down, however it injured like 5000 people. we are in the beginning of the end, and no one knows when Jesus will come except for the Father.

Where have you been???  The beginning of the end started a long time ago we just haven't made it to the fat lady singing part yet.  As for the explosion of a meteor over Russia being a sign the answer is not unless you want to count every piece of space junk as a sign.  By the way that was not the only near miss yesterday as an asteriod crused by at about 175,000 + in between the earth and some of our satelites.  Fun times for those with the telescopes.

End of the world - No.  Everything in this universe runs in cycles.  The seasons, the tides, day and night, birth and death, everything.  Comets and meteors cycle too.  You can count on certain meteor showers in certain months.   

I don't watch the news very often, too negative, but if the preview tells me of an interesting story like this one I'll check it out.  What was interesting is that I saw the report on two channels.  One said the meteor was the size of an SUV, the other said it was as big as a city bus.  Both reported that 1,100 people were injured.  I didn't hear how bad the injuries were.  Many were probably minor.  There was a lot of flying glass because the sound waves shattered many windows.  The footage I saw looked like it was pretty scary.  Some of it was obviously security cams inside where people didn't know what was happening.  I wish them well.   

There was also a fly by by another asteroid that got overshadowed by the one that landed.  It gave scientists a chance to study it from the ground.

Well, I do believe the end is nearing, nobody knows the day or time, however we do know that all the Bible prophecies has recently been filled to start the tribulation, so we never know Gods timing, but I am a believer.  So sad to hear these people mocking God, I certainly wouldn't want to be in their shoes!!
