« on: February 20, 2013, 11:30:30 pm »
:heart:i see on the profiles different levels like hero and different numbers of stars it doesnt seem to be how long they have been a member. is it based on referrals or cashouts?

Yeah, how many stars just depend on how many posts you have. It really has no relevance whatsoever.

I agree. the more you post the more stars you get. even if it as short as this one.

I like to keep an eye on the ones that have the most stars, because they seem to have a lot of good info but those of us that struggle at times.  The forum is a good place to learn what pays and what to look for.  Great site.

No, it has nothing to do with cash outs, referrals, or how long you've been a FC member. It only has to do with Forum posts. The more posts you submit, the more stars you get. I think I received my 2nd star when I had posted 50 times and after that I received 2 more. So keep posting!  :)
thankyou for the information

Yep! The number of stars represent the number of posts made by a FusionCash member.

It's based only on post count, and we de-emphasize it because people tend to get competitive.  But there's nothing special about making 2000 crummy posts, even though you'd theoretically have a bunch of stars.  What's more important is the content of your posts.  For example, just look at swogden's nice blue star.  They got it for making quality posts, not numerous posts.  That's what you guys should compete for (it also includes a cash bonus).  But how do you compete?  That's the rub - you just have to make quality, reliable, helpful, informative posts day in day out until an administrator notices Smiley

so there are different levels that you attain based on the number of posts, not length of time or earnings or referrals etc. It lends some credence to your replies when people are looking for answers. Generally a 1 star member is still a newbie and may not be providing the most accurate information where as a platinum member like Old Buddy has been around a lot longer but he also has shared a lot of good information in numerous posts and any information from him would be considered more accurate and up to date and after you have read his replies for a while, he will also state right up front if he has not experienced a situation but will also try to direct the questioner to a place that they can get more information

This is my understanding of what the stars and titles mean:

Titlle---------------Stars---------------Posts

Newbie   -------------1-----------------1-49
Jr Member-------------2----------------50-99
Full Member-----------3---------------100-249
Srl Member------------4---------------250-499
Hero Member----------5---------------500-749
Elite Member----------6---------------750-999
Silver Member---------7--------------1000-1999
Gold Member----------8--------------2000-3999
Platinum--------------9--------------4000-?

Based solely on quantity of posts, not quality.

Thank you for mentioning the blue star under swogen's name.  I had never noticed it before and have been reading his posts for months.  (That shows you how observant I am!) It's nice to know that our "distinguished" members are rewarded for their continued efforts.  We can always use someone as a role model and I'd say getting a blue star would be something we should all strive for.
