I am blessed with a job and a boss that allows for extra spare time as long as my work is completed on time.
Have a wonderful day!

Some days I have a lot of free time at work so I spend a lot of down time surfing the web.

Best get back to work.  Since your using a company computer on company time you'll have no recourse if they fire you.

Just because the company is easy going doesn’t mean employees have the right to abuse company time and resources. I don’t think I would do that unless I’m on my break.

my internet at work is very limited and not easily accessible.
it mainly links to our inner-network so that we can communicate
with other stores. we're next door to panera, who has free wifi,
so you can connect to that instead, if you have a smart phone.
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

Absolutely not.
1) I don't trust my employer.
2) He is not paying to be on my cell phone or computer at work.
3) I don't trust my employer.
I was lying in bed the other night, looking up at the stars, and thinking, "Where in the heck is my roof?"

My computers, at my day job, are uber secure.  I am lucky to get into my bank accounts and google.  Everything else is pretty much locked out.   I have to use my phone for searches that are still fairly safe. I work in the financial industry so I have to be ultra conservative and safe with the information that I view. My night time work is in the same industry but I go to different sites that are near impossible to get into with passwords much less any kind of virus looking to attach to personal information.  I am able to get on to craigslist and a few news sources so my down time is still some what productive. It is rare that I have time to do anything but work...at work.

I am home all the time, except working elections and we cannot take any portable devices there.
