I am half Irish and half German.  I do not celebrate the Holiday.  I know many people do, and I do not mind that at all.  Understanding the origins of the holiday has made me not want to celebrate it.

I'm not Irish so we don't celebrate it.  I'm German and my husband is Italian.

I was just reading the other day that St. Patrick's Day is an American Holiday. Not actually a big deal in Ireland. We Americans just love an excuse to party.

I'm a big fan of the real St. Patrick.  That is who I celebrate that day, not some guy who got rid of all the snakes in Ireland.  It's tough to turn down some good Irish beer and food.  I hope everyone enjoys it.
