I love to work in the yard planting flowers and putting mulch in my flower beds, but I was not able to do it last year because I had surgery in March.  The first time I tried to cut grass after my surgery, I thought I was going to pass out in the yard.  I need to get out there now and do something.  I have cut back my rose bushes, but that is as far as I have got.

I think that buying stuff at the store isn't nearly as flavorable or rewarding.  Lately cilantro has been horrible unless you nuy organic which is so much more expensive and, what the heck, it grows like a weed if you give it enough water and sunshine!  I think that yard work, in and of itself, is rewarding as well.  It is great seeing a freshly trimmed and cut lawn or seeing a well put together rock wall.  Keeping lots of flowers also adds to the beauty, peace and relaxation that a home already has to offer.  It is nice to take a look at your home after several hours of work and say "man...I really did a good job-the house looks better than it did this morning when I woke up!".
