Tax time!
« on: April 03, 2013, 10:06:15 pm »
Have you already done your taxes for 2012?  Do you owe or will you get money back this year?  Do you do your own taxes or have someone else do them for you?  Are you ready for April 15th?  I'm not!!

My taxes were done the beginning of February.  I do them myself.  I got a refund.  If I get a refund I do them early so I can get my money right away if I owe I wait until the last minute to send it in.

I was done with my taxes in late February and got my fed refund in early March and state refund in mid March.  I paid an accountant to do mine...worth the cost.

I have been ready, but I've been extremely lazy and been lagging it for the longest time. I do my own taxes online, and it only takes me 15-20 minutes to do it, and I've had everything I need since a couple of months ago, but I just didn't find the time or will to do them, lol. However, now I'm determined to do it at least next week, and not wait until tax day the following week.

I do them myself, hate to pay for something I can do myself. It's not hard to do them. I got a refund thanks to God. The same day I got them I spend them; paying bills and credit cards. All gone.  :'(

I still have to do mine but generally I get money back.  My biggest problem at the moment is I need to talk to my parents cause I thought they were claiming me as a dependent but my sister said they might not be.  Gotta wait till I can get in contact with them to answer that part.  Really kinda annoying cause I keep forgetting about doing it till midnight and then I don't want to do it at that time.  I'll be so happy when I don't have to think about this any more.

I completed my return on April 4th. As I expect to pay, somehow I was surprised I’ll be getting a refund back. People usually tend to file at the last minute when they know they have to owe taxes. Yesterday I helped a friend filed 2 tax returns at the last minute of the deadline.

I knew I was getting a refund but filed later (April 13) because I do them myself and I always hate it.

I have already done filed and forgotten my taxes for this year and I only got a small refund so at this point and time I am ready to forget all about it.

I turbotax every year and since we typically get a return, I will do it as early as possible. However, I knew that we owed our state money and therefore I sent our state paperwork in on the 15th.
