The government has manufactured crisis in the past.  It is entirely possible they would do it again.  There was a manufactured crisis preceding our involvement with the Vietnam war.  It is also theorized that Roosevelt instigated the bombing of Pearl Harbor due to his policies. 

Governments love to manufacture crises.  One of the most famous is the Reichstag fire of Germany. 

In fact, there is a military term for this deception.  It is called False Flag.  Why would they name something they do not actively do?

This is true. However that's where one has got to be honest and go with what they know MAY be the truth no matter how bad it may be. It takes a strong person to face a horrible truth. For instance...most do not want to believe that Osama Bin Laden was trained by us. But fact of the matter is, he was. Now if one accepts that truth one then has to ultimately face up to the fact that we...our gov't may have been the ones to indirectly create the proverbial monster. Also, it seems that one has to face the fact that our gov't (maybe sometimes with the best intention) will cause a crises and it go horribly wrong. The best one can do is believe what's what for themselves and not listen to other people. The biggest thing to remember though is NOT EVERYTHING MAY BE WHAT IT SEEMS....that includes our gov't.

Actually, there is no real evidence that Bin Laden was ever funded or trained by the US. Certainly not enough to claim it as a fact.

This is a superb documentary.  It is available to watch for free online.  I highly recommend it.  Although, it may anger quite a number of people.
