Why the 21st century has not been great?

It seems as the years are going by, things are not getting better with the economy, jobs,  our government and our enormous deficit. It seems things have gone down hill after 9/11 and after Princesses Diana died. We need a stronger government,more jobs to come back from over seas and a good commander and chief that can really help us all out, so things can go back to normal.
