Electrolytes (gatorade) and Vitamin B complex with Zinc.  Replacing those helps make it a bit less painful and faster recovery time.

I drink juices with vitamin C, gatorade for electrolytes, and soup. I rest as much as I can.

Drinking a lot of hot water, taking medicine, and resting.
Even I did all that but still took me 2 weeks to recover my last cold!!! :(
Get well soon!!!

Prevention... I always make sure I tuck my shirt and wear long sleaves shirts when going to bed, even when the temperature is 70 ish (only in the transition from winter to spring, since weather flucuates to warm to cool

I've found the best way to deal with a cold is to drink plenty of liquids (especially clear liquids), get plenty of rest.

Drink fluids & take medicine!
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)
