I am American Indian and no one I know that is also Indian has any problem with these names.  It is a big deal over nothing.   I think of it as a compliment.   Redtails is a dumb name.

What? Why are they changing it?  Changing it to 'redtails' is stupid!! Should just leave it the way it is. I can hear the smacking now....redtails got their tails in between their legs.

I've been a REDSKIN fan since the mid 70's, but if they change their name I'm through with them.

Very awful name. Why did they come up with that one? Pick something to do with Politics, since it is a DC team. I really don't know why they have to change their name anyway. Tooo much bruhaha! How bout Potato Skins. Or is that Potatoe Skins? I guess the Chiefs will ahve to change their name too. Why?

That's too funny. I live near DC and most of the American Indians they interviewed said they took the Redskins name as a compliment. I think too many people in this world look to try to start racism arguments. It's ridiculous. In that same story, they interviewed an African American woman and she said that she took offense to the name because all black people are probably some part American Indian. What!! seriously!! It's people like her that start crap like this. I hope she realized how ignorant she looked on tv.

I just saw on the news this morning that Pepsi had to pull a commercial because it had racial stereotypes. In the commercial it had a police lineup and it was all African American men, but the thing is an African American male made the commercial. If the race being joked about or used in commercials or anywhere else can laugh about it or is fine with it, then I don't see the problem.

 I would be so disappointed if they changed the Redskins name. My husband has been a fan for years.
