is your elementary school still open?

in 2009, I got to see my old elementary school one last time. I started at LaOtto Elementary School in 1976 and then graduated from East Noble High School in Kendallville in 1991. LaOtto Elementary School became the fire dept after the school closed. it first opened to students in 1965, however, East Noble School Corporation wanted to save almost $1,000,000 a year, so they closed down LES.

My elementary that I went to didn't have much students. Three grades shared the same classroom. Three years after I left the school the government closed it down for not having enough students in it. Someone bought the school and said they were going to make it into a Christian boarding school but it never got made into anything. A few years ago it caught on fire,this year the gym caught on fire. That town is almost nothing now.

The actual building I went to is not there as they tore it down. They put up a new building with the same name in the same place. They did the same thing with my high-school.

Yes it's still open. I went from 1995-2001. I think it's been open since the 50s

I haven't been back to the town where I went to grade school so I don't know.  I know the place I went to Kindergarden is still there but I'll bet it has changed alot.  Woodbridge Elementary was pretty old when I went there in 1960.

I went to four different elementary schools and they are all still open.

I went to Northside Elementary School for three years, beginning in 1964.  It was still open 6 years ago; I don't know about now.  I went to Eastside Elementary School in 1967; I am happy to say it is still open; in fact, my grandchildren have attended school there.

My elementary school was turned into an office building quite a while back. It was an old brick building with two floors and they had to stop using it because it no longer met fire codes for a school. They said it would cost too much to fix it.

I am pretty sure mine is still open and has been open for quite some time. it is in a middle of nice neighborhood so I do not think it will be closing down anytime soon.

My grade school closed due to budget cuts. I lived in a rural community with 4 elementary school spread out in 3 local towns. These schools all went to the same middle and high school. A year after my younger brother finished grade school. Two of the 4 schools closed and all the students were added to the remaining 2 schools. It was extremely crowded for the students since the schools were not meant for more kids. After awhile my grade school became a private military type school but now it is vacant and breaking down. Another sad thing is my dad went to the same grade school when he was a kid in the early 60's and I went there in the early 90's now it is closed.

The two elementary schools I went to are still open, although I hear rumors that they will be demolish making room for something else. That will be a real sad day.
