There are so many Dollar Stores in Houston that it is ridiculous, but the catch is everything is over a dollar.  So now your starting to see stores that say Over A Dollar (lol) really.  So I guess we will be seeing stores that say $2 Only.     Or everything over a dollar!! :bs:

I have a Dollar General and Family Dollar close to me. I go to Dollar General more frequently. We have other dollar stores in the area, but I can't think of the names.

Well, in our small town alone there are several "dollar general" stores, a couple of "Family dollar" stores and one "Dollar tree" which is the only one of which actually has much merchandise for $1.

Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure that there is a dollar tree store in every state if not at least most states.  I think the dollar stores are great.  Why pay outrageous prices for the same thing you can get at the dollar store for less.  If they aren't in every state I think they should be.

I ask this question cuz recently, I ask my cousin from NY, why she & her family comes down to FLa each chance she gets. I thought it was to visit my Uncle & Aunt cuz Uncle works at the hospital here. Well, a year or 2 ago, Mom introduced them to our Dollar store & they went wild! They were amazed that the products were up to date cuz they go to remainder stores in which a lot of the food products are old & out dated. I'm thinking is this legal? I guess Fla, is one of the poorer states & thus need dollar stores for us to survive. As for my Aunt & cousin now, I understand why they went wild when I gave them a dollar store gift card; me it was just the  dollar store but  to them it was like finding treasure!

We have dollar stores here in Michigan. I get my Sunday newspaper from there every Sunday.

We have Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Family Dollar.  There are more, I know but these are the closest to me.

I go to the Dollar General most often. I get national brands for less and I can use my coupons and save even more. Why spend more when you don't have to?   :D

I thought there were dollar stores in every city and state.  Never make assumptions.  I shop in a Dollar tree maybe twice a month.
