Announcement: Changes coming to PTC on July 15th

Well since search earnings count for the $0.05 daily requirement, no one really has an excuse to not be able to "unlock" their daily PTC...

As long as the daily PTC credit counts toward "Offer" earnings, I'm happy

Edit - Also just remembered the Radio Loyalty offer, so if someone is really "desperate" (forgot to do searches one day or whatever else), they could always just do 5 captchas on that, and unlock the PTC page. Really $0.05 isn't difficult

And Fusion Cash just added the Vaseline video we can do each day .05. It works!! I think it was awesome of Fusion Cash to find a single offer to do for a while to get the .05 needed.

I don't think this change will make you guys too happy, but unfortunately it's one of those things that just has to be done!

Effective July 15th, there will be a new prerequisite/requirement for completing the daily 15c Paid to Click.  The requirement is earning 5c or more in qualifying credits first.

What are qualifying credits?  Basically anything that isn't a bonus, and isn't the Daily Cash Email.  So you can meet the new 5c PTC requirement through tasks, videos, RadioLoyalty, searching on the toolbar, any survey, any offer, etc.  You can also mix and match (e.g. 1c from RadioLoyalty, 2c from a task, 2c from searching) to qualify. A lot of you are already doing this on your own, and for you, this shouldn't affect your daily routine too much.  For the rest, you'll have to earn a bit more to continue participating in the PTC.

Some details: A day starts at 12:01am Pacific time (check the clock in the top right of any forum page for official FC time).  You have to be credited 5c or more in qualifying credits on a particular day before you can complete the PTC. July 5th Update: You will only have to earn 5c in between each time you complete the PTC.  In this way, your daily routine need not change as long as you are earning at least 5c/day in qualifying regular credits.  This requirement will be in effect each and every day, from July 15th onward. 

One small sliver of good news is: at the same time, we'll also be reducing the time required on the PTC page from 3min to 2min30sec.

You may be asking why we're doing this.  The reason is that a subset of members have taken to completing just-and-only the PTC.  While this is not against the rules, it goes against the spirit of the PTC program, which was to reward you a little extra for showing up every day and earning.  Over the years, the percentage of members who only do the PTC has grown.  If we don't do something about it, it will become un-maintainable in the next few years.  Since we're focused on long-term sustainability (having just celebrated 8 years in business), we're making this change long before it gets to that point. 

We evaluated the possibility of reducing the PTC reward to 10c, or reclassifying it as "bonus" earnings instead of "offer" earnings.  But those options were strongly disliked in the December 2012 member survey that we conducted.  Most everyone surveyed wanted the reward to remain 15c and the classification to remain "offer", even if that meant meeting other daily requirements.

Why do you think you have to readjust anything? Do exactly what you always have and as long as you make 5 cents in offers since the last time you did the 15 cent PTC it will work fine.

Exactly!! I did all of this since my PTC this morning and now I can do my PTC tomorrow morning!!!

That "little" $0.15 becomes a lot larger when you have 2.5million members. Most sites can't even last paying $0.02 per day, let alone $0.15.

Also, if they "can't stand" to see people making money, they wouldn't still be online.

You agree to the Terms of Service when you joined, if you don't like it, no one is forcing you to stay here.

Hm-m-m-m. I usually come here when I get the daily email. I then go to the PTC and complete that then do the other items.

I noticed that I didn't get the PTC on the 15, 17, or 19.  Sucks but I'll just have to rearrange I guess. I wish I had more time to stay on FC all day, but I don't. I usually do some "human tasks" when I have extra time, daily email, videos, and the PTC, but not in that order. The human tasks are last because some of them take more time than I would like.

Seriously....I am very grateful that i can come here and get paid for moving a mouse around and clicking a few buttons......so it is just beyond me why anyone would complain about getting paid for doing what most people do for fun. It does seem like a small amount but it is what ever you make of it I really enjoy this site and this forum and am happy for the change because it has reminded me of a couple things I can do to make a couple extra cents each day!!!!! To me this site is pretty fun and getting paid to come here is a bonus.......Quit Crying or Leave.....just my opinion

I have been frustrated by the daily ptc.  I do the radio loyalty and it credits for the daily tab total of 5 cents, the search toolbar now only credits one penny per 4 searchs, but the FC Surveys don't credit in! (I get the credit to my account but not to the total required for the ptc.)  It says the FC Surveys are a way to qualify but it doesn't work.  Anyone else have this problem?

If you're able to get 5 cents for RadioLoyalty, then that should be sufficient to do the PTC the next day, so what is the issue?? The toolbar search feature has always credited 1 cent per 4 searches....that hasn't changed. The 1 cent DQ "bonuses" do not count towards the 5 cent PTC requirement, and neither do any of the other "bonuses".
