Seems like most of the country east of the Mississippi River is getting a LOT of rain, and most areas are expected to have scattered rain tomorrow too. I don't know what might be shown on TV as far as fireworks go but that just don't cut it compared to 'live action'!

Hope everyone gets a break in the rain so their areas get to go full bore with the shows! :D

Fireworks are nice, but I always kind of preferred the foutains thay you could light and watch on your own to the big ones in the sky.  They always say fireworks are so expensive but I know of several minor league baseball teams that do fireworks several times a season and how much money do they minor league ballclubs have??

Since I have been back home in Mississippi, I haven't seen any fireworks shows.  The last one, as I can recall, was in Chicago, IL during the Taste of Chicago, about 9 or 10 years ago.  The big problem was getting home.  The buses are slow and it is not easy to get to the bus stop when there are so many buses parked.  But I miss the food at the Taste.

I love fire works. They're just so pretty. I haven't really been able to go watch any in a few years though. I usually see photos afterward and sometimes I get to see some on t.v.  :(

I am looking forward to the fireworks there a couple of local small displays of fireworks around.
However I tend to watch the Boston fireworks on tv. Hope mother nature doesn't ruin the fun this year.
Hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday weekend. :peace:

I think I'd prefer a nice rain storm.  It's been hot and dry here, in Utah.  Have a great 4th of July.
Have a great day!

I won't be able to attend any fireworks displays this year :(

We used to go to town when I was a kid and watch them over Black Hawk Lake.

Fireworks are wonderful to watch but I'm dreading them this year. For some reason my dog has become so scared of thunder and fireworks that she shakes like a leaf. We have tried everything but can't seem to help her. So I'm not looking forward to fireworks.
