Do you have funds in your paypal account? It shouldn't charge your card if you removed it properly and have funds in your account...I'd recommend calling their customer service line to confirm it.

It could be that you used your credit card bank to get verified. Check on that see if it set up.

I've run into issue's with paypal now and again.  Usually only when my last name changed and I had to update it with them and my bank.  There customer service representatives are very good - I would recommend a call to them.  Within a few minutes you could have the problem wrapped up.  What a pain that must be for you.

If you have your bank account linked to your Pay pal and you don't have money in your pay pal account then whatever you purchase on your paypal card will get taken out of your bank account that you linked to the paypal card. I just got my PayPal card a few weeks ago and signed up to the cash back offer and linked my bank account to the card as backup for payments so know I just used my PayPal debit Card for all my Purchases since I get 1% back on all my purchases with them instead of using my Bank Debit card which I get nothing back using that card. It is nice to have the Bank account as backup since most of the time I don't have money in my PayPal account I getmy purchase still and A text receipt from PayPal letting me know my purchase was done at and for how much so I can track it and deduct it from my bank account for my records I love PayPal.....      :peace:

The best way to deal with this is to contact customer service. Someone at paypal should be able to help you with this issue.

Idk!  ??? I don't know how PayPal works.
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

it sounds like you might have the wrong box checked for where you want the funds to come out of first.  they will always resort to either your bank account or your credit card if you dont have enough in your account to cover the bill.  such as this if you have 10 dollars in your paypal account but the total is 20 they will take the 10 from paypal and the remaining balance will come out of either your bank account or your credit card.

Just a tip since your problem was resolved. Another member mentioned the Paypal debit card giving you cash back at 1%. This can really add up when do you a lot non ebay purchases and those that don't require a debit and can be signed for or as a credit online. Keep in mind that Amazon.com defaults to the debit feature first on debit cards so to take advantage of this you need to login to your account, go to payment, payment method and click Manage Payment Method. Click edit on your Paypal debit card and uncheck Processed as a debit card. Until you do this on amazon all of your payments with the debit card will be a debit only and you won't receive cash back on them. I know and this happened to me until I called Paypal and they explained that Amazon has to be manually configred to do a credit on debit cards, all including the Paypal debit card if you want to use your credit feature.

Another tip: You can get approved for Paypal's Mastercard if you have good enough credit, but what some people don't know is that even if your credit isn't good enough for the credit card you can get a paypal line of Credit called paypal smart connect which works just like a credit card when linked with your paypal debit card. The Smart connect is a credit line with no real physical card that only works for paypal purchases. However the debit card can be used at all vendors who accept Mastercard so by linking them together you can use you paypal line of credit at all Mastercard merchants there giving you more time to pay when you don't have cash in your balance. Interest and approval depends on your creditworthiness of course so there is no guarantee you wiill be approved for either, but it might worth a try for your needs. You can also use paypal smart connect as a default payment for your ebay purchaese when you have no money in your paypal balance.

Let me know if this helps.
