Impeachment for what reason? Because you really really really don't like him? For realsies?

Here's how this conversation will go:

You and/or those who agree with you will trot out some nonsense you deem worthy of impeachment when, in actuality, it's not even worthy of attention. Then you'll get beat over the head with example after example of either:

a) similar or equal actions taken by previous presidents that you couldn't care less about or even agreed with.
b) actions taken by previous presidents that were worse that you may have actually defended.

or

c) (and this my favorite) you'll pull a rectum derived :bootyshake: accusation that either didn't happen or didn't even happen under his presidency.

You could save us a whole lot of time and trouble by just acknowledging the man won twice and allowing him to govern. Get the hell out of the way and curl up in a ball on the couch somewhere and sob to yourself until he ends his second term.

Impeachment of Obama is possible, and there are some legitimate grounds on which he could be impeached. Regardless of what someone's 'opinions' are, the grounds for impeachment are not only enumerated in the Constitution, they are also fairly open ended and pretty much up to what the House of Representatives may decide at any given time. Just for an example, 'failure to uphold the Constitution' which is a sworn oath, is wide open to interpretation. Practically any president could be impeached by an opposing House of Representatives.

Now, the practical matter is that the House is highly reluctant to bring about impeachment charges against anyone and especially so the sitting President. The reasons are many, but chief of those would be the tit for tat retaliation that would likely ensue far into the future. Such possibility would render the office of President to a practically  useless position as all the executive would ever do is fight the charges. Then there is the matter of the Senate, the current Senate is controlled by the President's party, and they are the ones that would actually try the case. (House brings the charges, Senate conducts the trial) Ergo, even if impeached, as Clinton was, there is no way the case would be resolved in removing Obama from office by the Senate. So there is no real taste to start a fight that in the end no one could benefit from.

Now, impeachment is not reserved for the President, it is possible to impeach and try anyone in the government, like certain IRS agents and managers... real substantive changes could be realized in going that route!
:)

I don't agree with impeachment since that would give him legitimacy, which he is NOT.  In 5 LONG years, he's yet to PROVE WHO HE IS.  You can only impeach a President who holds the office LEGALLY.  Now, if you told me he was gonna be indicted on charges of Treason, I'm all for it.

Sooooooo I guess supporting term limit removal would be entirely out of the question, huh? LOL   ;D

I highly doubt this will ever happen. Congress has been talking about impeaching him for years but it never happen. Impeaching Obama is very much like trying to Impeach George W. Bush. The way things are right now, it is too unlikely for that to happen. Even if he get impeached, then Joe Biden will take over as president.

There is only one scenario that could possibly develop into Obama's impeachment, trial and subsequent removal from office. That would be the scandal of the Benghazi consulate assault. There is something seriously, and very seriously amiss with that entire scenario and if the truth of it ever comes out and it is shown that President Obama was involved in it, then it might bring him to the impeachment predicament. However, every ounce of energy Obama and his minions can muster have been and continue to hide and delay ANY of the facts from coming out concerning the matter.

At present we know practically nothing of this situation, The best speculation on the subject by those that might actually know what they are talking about seems to indicate that the administration likely was involved in a massive weapons transfer deal without the consent of Congress. This is something expressly unlawful due to the developments that followed the 'Iran-Contra' dealings of the Reagan  administration.

This is going to be difficult to get the truth on, it is now being reported (CNN) that there are somewhere around 15-20 CIA personnel involved in making certain that everything about it is kept under wraps. Add that to the intimidation and other threats being levied against those people that were there and might lend some insight to the facts and it becomes obvious that there are extremely damaging facts being kept from us by the administration and that having them revealed is going to be a very difficult task.

I was wondering if anyone was still awake. It seems like the youth of America is sleepwalking through life. How do we get him out of the White House? I am tired of his speeches aimed at disruption and division amongst ourselves. Hopefully Obamacare will get deleted before I am forced into it. It is just another way for the INsurance companies richer and the coverage less and you pay more for no coverage. WHY?

I would much rather see Obama serve out his term and have the elections decide on what direction the nation will head. Impeachment would not really solve anything, Biden would just rubber stamp all the BS that is in the works already, and Obama's prosecution would create all manner of havoc in society regardless of any guilt that might be proven.

Obama is already having serious problems with his agenda as almost everything he claimed is being shown to be untrue, unworkable, and manipulated to bend favors to his own special interests. Best scenario is to have him have as few allies in the Senate and House as possible until he is replace at the end of this term. Just my thoughts on the matter.  ;D

This forum has some of the least intelligent people I have come across on the internet and that is saying something.  But I guess that a collection of people who click on ads for pennies can't be expected to have enough intelligence to put together an original or heck, even accurate debate.
