Up until a couple of months ago, then my budget became somewhat restricted. I choice of food got a little lax. Or should I say alot. because I had some ground beef a week ago and I stopped eating ground beef years ago.

I sometimes buy organic for specific foods that eat everyday but some organic items are so expensive compared to non organic.

Yes, they are very expensive...that's why I barely by them. I don't understand why they are so friggin expensive. There's no extra cost for pesticides (etc) like non organic produce. Not only are organic produce expensive. Personal products and makeup are too. I researched lead free lipstick. They want 20 to 24 dollars each for lipstick that may not even complement you when you try it on.

I do plan on buying more organic when it comes to certain foods, particularly with produce. I just bought some organic spinach at Giant Eagle along with some apple cider vinegar and the prices were only slightly higher. I don't think all organic food is expensive. I think it depends on the product.

That's true some organic products are actually cheaper.

of course, i rarely eat rocks or carboard, most of what i eat comes from plants or animals. there are organics that i do not eat like humans and feces, but the majority of my diet is organic. I do eat salt NaCl2 because all my muscles and nerves use it for action potential. when i was young people did eat dirt to get there inorganics but i prefer to take a vitimin pill to get my minerals.

Organics cost more because they are more labor intensive to produce. Also because organic growers don't get the farm subsidies that Big Ag does, the prices reflect the cost of production, instead of being kept artificially low by subsidies from the government.

As for not believing in organics, up until the "Better living through chemistry" guys came along with their chemical fertilizers and growth hormones, organic was what we ate.

Real food, not fake.  That's organic.
