I had a 1/2 c video that was 6 minutes long today. It was the King Ramen Burger recipe.Six minutes is a long time for 1/2 c,but I had already watched another half cent video and needed it to finish the cent. The other video was only 30 seconds, which is a much more reasonable length of time for a half cent.

I have had it today and a couple of times before, and while I'd love more I am just very happy to find something.  (It is way easier than some of the tasks :BangHead:).  I usually do videos while eating breakfast or dinner,  or I can read the mail or pay some bills.  6 minutes can fly by ;)

Hi all,
I know that not everyone finds the 1/2 cent videos to be worth their time.  To help, we've added a switch to the paid videos page (bottom right) which lets you hide them if you'd prefer not to see them.  Turning "off" the 1/2 cent videos will simply hide them, you can always turn them back "on" later.

Thanks, Admin.... that is great.  Is there a way to add the length of the video to the description?  There are times I just can't spend 6+ minutes watching a video (for whatever payment), and it would be nice to know ahead of time how long the video is.

1/2 cent for six minutes seems a little cheap, I agree. I also watched though to get the second half of my one cent.

I know what you mean.  I watched that 6 minute video a 6 times and the biggest disappointment was I was not credited for watching it!  I don't know what has happened but I have not received any credits for watching the 1/2 cent videos.

Those really long 1/2 cent videos are frustrating.  Administrator, I appreciate your letting us know about the turn off feature. I hadn't noticed that.

I find some of the videos that so long for 1/2 cent really pushing the limit. The only good thing about them is i have time to go have a smoke, get fresh tea or just a break. So oh well.

I'll keep them running in the background if there are no other offers... honestly I don't find it all that different from the radio offer. It's just a background earner to me.

Loving this thread as it confirms my decision to just ignore the video area like it were a loathsome disease!

A 1/2 cent reward for 6 minutes does seem rather stingy. If you watched 30 of the six minute videos (1 a day for a month) you'd have 3 hours of time invested and 15 cents return.  I'd like to think we're worth more than that.

That's why you have to decide if what you're doing is worth your time. Pennies add up, yeah, but not if takes you nearly 10 minutes to make half a cent! There are better things on FC that you can be doing.

.1 cent makes more sense that 1/2 cent that is hard to comprehend, but I will take my 1/2 cent a hope for more.

I agree why can't they give at least $0.01 There is no such currency as a 1/2 cent  :angry7: A 6 min video is way too long  :sad1:
