i can't figure out why some or so cruel

i want to thank all  my fc family for there prayers about my great granddaughter i have been doing a lot of soul searching and talking to different folks about it and most of all i wish i could figure people out i was talking to a couple of people at my doctors off ice about it and this 1 women turned and looked at me and said she is better off dead i wanted to smacked the hell out of her but i just looked at her and say my god have mercy on you  how could someone want to say that about a baby or for anyone for that fact

I agree.  Sometimes I think people should think before they open their big mouth!       You never know how much you can hurt a person!

I wish the best for your great granddaughter and your family. I have no idea why people say what they say but sometimes you have to shrug it off because the next person may have some very kind words.

Maybe she couldn't think of anything else to say,then better to say nothing. My cousin and 3 kids were killed in an auto mobile accident years ago it was shocking  their grandmother never really recovered how could she. Time helps some but not always. best to you and family so sad.

  It isn't just that people are cruel but they have to be ignorant and cruel.  And does she think she know's better than God?

She must be a miserable person inside to say that about any one much less a baby.  Everything is in the Lord's hands and happens to His timing.  As long as you have your faith and trust in Him, everything will be okay.  The Lord has a special place by His side for all babies and repented sinners.

Someone actually looked you in the eye and said your grand daughter was better off dead?  You have got to be kidding.  Wow.  I can see people saying it on line where they are hiding behind a keyboard.  Gee.  I think you would have been justified in hitting her.  Can I ask what is going on?  I have not been on in a day or two.  Had internet issues.

In a way i can see where maybe the words came out wrong in the other ladies case.. Because some people find it more appropriate to end the suffering than continueing it.. But i do not see telling someone in there face  That something or someone is better off dead not even in the worse case senario.. Maybe in the back of her mind it came out right while they worded it wrong. That or They had no idea what to say and they just jumped the gun and said something that really hurt.. Funny how the smallest things can hurt us like that. In a way i can see the light shed behind the meaning of what she said.. But.. You never tell someone their better off dead.. Those are the wrong set of words.. I do sympothize.. I would have smacked the person if they ever said something like that to me.. Probably would have done alot worse..But you know you have to take people like that with a grain of salt.. They probably are not very social.. And need more training in that aspect.. Maybe they will grow some social skills soon and appoligize(wishful thinking).I hope you stay strong and don't let things like that bother you because no matter what people say they are just words.. Sometimes people talk without thinking.....and they don't realize the impact their words will have on someone else.....that's why it's good to think before speaking....that was cold and uncaring....coming from a mother who has buried two children, I would not wish that night mare on anyone......

You may feel they are being mean but when it boils down to it if she would not have to endure anymore pain or the continue doctors apt that may hurt her more than you. Then sometimes you have to let go. I wish I would have had someone told me to let go of my Father and let him rest because of the continue Doctors poking or hearing them say there is nothing we can really do for him. If your Grandbaby is not in this situation then fight for her life.

Sad for her because some day she might find herself in your position and I'll bet she has a totally different attitude then!!!  But, again, not everyone in the world is sympathetic or kind.  Me, on the other hand will pray for you, your granddaughter and her Mom & Dad.
