I would choose comedy or romantic.  But personally I don't care for scarey movies :o

I'd think the best movie would be one both of you want to see, then you'll have that to talk about after.

I think a comedy, I don't like scarey, and romantic may be too suggestive.... :dontknow:

I would say comedy so both can be laughing and enjoying.
And maybe the second date will be very easier for asking.

comedy or romantic, it really does not matter as long as the date enjoys it

Learn your date's preferences ahead of time but avoid anything with sexually explicit scenes or racy themes.  A good family-type movie would be a good choice unless she expresses strong preferences against them.  If you want to be really safe, view the movie before you take your date.

Scary, that way if there is indeed a spark between you guys, you can hold on to each other during the frightening scenes.

I would think a comedy would be the best because everyone likes to laugh and might lead to good discussions afterwards.

I lean toward Comedy personally.  What is your date's preference?

Perhaps you two can choose the movie together.

Have fun.

Comedy... although most comedies these days have very few truly funny moments.
