He has lied tous from the time he first started running for President. Almost he has his fingers in has cost a lot more then he said it would and on top of it he has given billions away to countries that don't like us, also to the banks , auto industrys,  and other business that have gone broke. Now this fiscal of obummercare. It was not thought through and will not work. If it is not good enough for him and his family also gongress then it is not good enough for us. I do not understand why congress is not willing to step in and stop this. Wonder who the undewriter for this stupid obummercare is. Huh could be for progrissive wned by a great friend of his.

Have you tried signing up for it either at the gov site or at private health insurance companies like Blue Cross? Because I'm currently paying 230$ a month and mine might actually be going down to around 200$.

Go through the marketplace www.heathcare.gov   there are insurance companies out there competing for your business. (free market)
The subsidy is based on a sliding scale taking into account family size and income.  One of the insurance companies will put you in a plan that you can afford.

Did you just refer to a government ran exchange as an example of a free market?

If you get rid of Obama then you have to get rid of all the senators and Representives also because it is all their fault not just Obama. He can make a sugestion and all of the Republicans don't agree. It is time to revote for all new members that we know will do right by the people of america. You must know how the system works they all have to agree all it doesn't happen. so stop  blaming one person.

It is a free market.  The exchange handles only the subsidy.  YOU choose which private insurance company you buy your policy from. that is a free market.  Please know what you are talking about before being snarky or it makes you look dumb.

That doesn't make it a free market. It's actually an example of a controlled market because government policy dictates what the insurance companies charge. All policies on the exchanges also have to conform with the ACA. If it was truly a free market, no such guidelines would exist. Don't confuse private ownership with a free market.

Maybe these insurance companies should have played fair and not have majorly screwed over millions and millions of people for over a decade now. Maybe then they could have their no-guideline free market back. There's other variables at work here at why the previous system was laughably broken and did not work. Pre-existing condition? Can't get insured (unless there's a $500/mo premium for basic coverage)! It shouldn't cost an individual w/o insurance 2100+$ to go to the ER to have a doctor do 15 seconds of work, nor should it cost 700$ to talk to a doctor for 5 minutes about a neck problem and then have him print out a 3 paged-document for you to read.

The amount of people not paying their bills for these things is staggering, and insurance companies were running on unfair and immoral practices. The american public was getting screwed over, so something needed to be done. If anyone here does not like it, that sucks. There's a lot I don't like about it either, but it might work. Something direly needed to be done about this, so I'm glad the system is changing for healthcare.

We have bigger fish to fry anyway. NSA, anyone? Go fight something that is actually breaching American freedoms big time rather than attacking something that could potentially help us. How many people are going to the rally in DC tomorrow? Show of hands?

I don't understand some of you people, President Obama is trying to make sure EVERYONE and that includes you, to have afforable health care.  Do you know some people cannot afford to go to the doctor or get medicine.  If he did not care about the american people he would not even try this thing.  Some of you are so ungreatful, but don't worry he will be out soon enough and I can't wait to see what you will complain about then. :dontknow: :peace:

Even before the ACA it wasn't a true free market, but I completely agree with you that it wasn't working. The amount Americans are paying in healthcare expenses relative to other countries is staggering. I think reasonable minds can disagree on whether or not the ACA is the solution to that problem, but it really is just time to roll it out there so that people can evaluate the actual results.

Exactly! It may or may not work, but atleast we have the option to elect someone who will repeal it if it fails miserably. I am crossing my fingers that it does work since I keep seeing horror stories every week online with people that can't/couldn't afford it.
