I always buy presents for my little dog. I wrap them and she has a wonderful time unwrapping and playing with her new toys at Christmas.

I can see that I am in the minority here because I do not buy Christmas presents for the cat in our house.

Our kids have gotten sweaters for the cat before.....so, I will continue to leave it up to them to buy or not buy Christmas gifts for him

I have my 2 dog's stockings hanging up right now. I usually buy them a new toy at Christmas also.

Yeppers, we have a little pile of stuff for our little old gal.  She's going to be 13 in July.  Oh my!  She was a rescue that I was sure no one wanted, she had been at the adoption fair for 3 days, I went each day ~ she looked so sad and Lordy she was an ugly mess!  chuckle.  Plus she was 11 ... so on the 3rd day I brought her home.  She's been a great gift!

:snowman: Yes if I have the money - I want to buy my little shih tzu baby a new sweater cause her old one is getting kind of snug.  Also my son's two cats need cat nip and new toys lol.

Growing up we had a dog and my parents would get a couple items as "gifts" for her.  Typically a large bone and a new chew toy.  She was very funny when we opened up our gifts on Christmas morning.  She'd go from person to person as we opened gifts one at a time wondering if the package was for her (no kidding).

Eventually we'd pull out the bone or chew toy and she got super excited.  She'd take her gifts off to the side and sit content the rest of they day.

We get our two dogs a special treat, like a nice chew stick or a doggie cookie.
