what you have to remember is that her brain has most likely went through some different changes because of her old age, you can not talk anything she does or say to heart. i was a home health aide

My aunt was a care giver for a while and as a matter of fact, so was I come to think of it.  I just did weekend's to earn extra $ way back when.  It's hard having someone that's mean.  I had one only once, she was a terror (she was upset her regular person wasn't there) ... screamed at me was very nasty in general.  Just had to let it roll off my back, fortunately I was just a fill-in and never had to go back.  My aunt is so good with the "meanies" ... I used to call her the "Alzheimer whisperer" ... she could always get the radical one's to calm down.

It's a big job taking care of the elderly, you should pat yourself on the back ... it's a good job you are doing!

well thank you i think i do a good job i dont abuse her and i do my best to keep her in a good mood it usually is only when her daughter and her have some kind of issues before i get here ,i just keep the kids away from her and try to talk to her

wish you a lot of luck on taking care of a 98 yr old lady. the can be mean but sometimes just try to tolerate it if you can.

It seems to be going a little better her daughter had a talk with her,so far she hasnt been to mean just dirty looks no more swinging her arms or feet at him yet
