Sweepstakes and Contests

I am just curious as to if any of you have ever won any contests or sweepstakes?  I have been entering for years.  All kinds of contests.  Even local drawings.  I have never won anything.  EVER!  And then like with the lottery I see where the same person wins in excess of a million dollars like 3 times.  They don't even need the money.  I don't understand why somebody who is struggling can't win some of these sweeps.

I have won several sweepstakes and scratch off lotto.... One funny moment was when I was a teenager and was around the checkout counter waiting for the cashier to finish the line of customer to get my families cart, I pressed one of the scratch off lotto and to my surprise it popped out one $1 lotto... Since I was underage, I gave the lotto to my parents but I was the one scratching the lotto off... I won the lotto and the total earning was $1... I guess my parents was $1 richer..

The other sweepstakes I won is from Swagbucks sweepstakes... I try aiming for Amazon/paypal rewards

I won a 25.00 american express gc ,but that is about it.I've seen on tv people who enter 4 hrs a day.Seems like alot of time and they always say they win.Funny what you can win from live chickens to expensive cars. I'd probably win the chickens.

I won a portable TV one time from an office supply company we did business with. I guess there weren't that many entries. I used to be lucky and won a couple of things when I sent in post cards or plain paper to enter sweepstakes. I won a children's computer. That was during the 80s so it was nothing like there is now. What I really need to do is REMEMBER to enter the lotto!

One of my new hobbies is entering sweepstakes. I've been at it for two years now. When I first started it took a while for me to get my first win. Do not give up! Whenever I'm close to giving up, I get a surprise in the mail and it gets me motivated all over again.

I actually won a sweepstakes a few months ago.  It was from another survey site.  Every time you take a survey, your name is entered into a daily, weekly and monthly sweepstakes drawing.  I won the daily sweepstakes prize drawing of $100.  I received an email notifying me of my winnings and at first I thought it was a scam.  But it was not a scam.  I did win.  I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. That was the first time I ever won a contest or sweepstakes and probably the last time.

Nope i have never won any sweepstakes but i have won on scratch offs the most i got once was $50 which i was excited about since it was only a 2 dollar card.

yes- but they've all been minor. The first one i won was when i was 8 or 9 and my school was hosting a parent meeting and there was a $70 raffle.
over the past few years, I've won DVD's, books, gift bags and points from reward sites. I've never won a local lottery or anything like that.

Congrats to those who have won.  I have entered all kinds of online sweeps.  Usually all I win are calls from telemarketers.  That is when those online numbers you can get for free that goes straight to voice mail comes in handy. lol.  Idk.  I saw where the same couple had won the lotto 3 times in the past month.  Once was like a million, another was 50,000 and then they won another time.  I don't under stand why people who don't even need the money keep winning and someone who could really use it and would use it for good can't catch a break.  And I am not talking lotto there but just entering contests where the prize is like 50,000 cash.

I have never won any contests.  In today's market I think all the contests and sweepstakes they offer is just a scam to get all your pertinent information so that you are bombarded with unwanted info.  A lot of businesses do sell your info.

I've never won any sweeptstakes or contest. However, I've received a ton of free samples but I guess that is not the same.

Sadly I believe this is the truth.  I think the winners are hand picked.
