Getting older
« on: April 11, 2014, 07:11:15 pm »
I am 49 years old and noticed that I seem to think back in the past
Of things that I miss doing with friends, like taking trips together,
Going to parties , etc. Times are so different now, everyone is doing their
Own thing and it's difficult to get together. I guess I miss the good
Old days.

Actually I remember the good old days but now have the good new days. I have fun at anything I do but now that hubby and I are retired we enjoy them together. Like I said I miss yesterday but love today.

I am right there with you. Time flies the older you get. I always hated when my parents would comment on how you get old before you know it and that i should stay a kid, lol. All i wanted to do was grow up and here I am - grown and missing being a kid.

I remember an older cousin saying that, the older you get the more time flies. I now see what he was talking about. Both my parents are gone now and I sure do miss them. Nothing is like it used to be.

I am 57 and feel the same way sometimes.  I try to keep my life as full as possible and look forward to the future.

The older you get the wiser you see things.  Continue to enjoy your life there is more good things to come.

Well I'm 29 and I think that way as well, my weekends are now spent with the kiddos or with my man when he is home (he works out of state 4-7 weeks at a time) but I wouldn't change it for anything, I was never big into partying.

I have great memories of younger days, but I still am enjoying the PRESENT too.

I enjoyed raising the four kids and all the busyness involved with having them in sports and 4H and youth group....run here, run there, get to practice, go to games....WAY WAY FUN TIMES

Now we enjoy some of the grandkids activities.

Ah yes.  Back in the day, I was a bit of a wild child.  Now that I'm "older and wiser" life is less frenetic.  I like my life.

Times have changed a lot and not necessarily for the good. We are so busy today that we don't take time to share with family and friends. It's sad.

This  might  seem  crazy  but  I hung  out  my dad this weekend.  I think  we both enjoyed it just like the old days.

Time sure does fly.  It is kind of upsetting sometimes.  My parents are getting older and so are my kids.  Enjoying all of it while I can!
