I'm a seller on eBay and my husband is a buyer, so we changed both passwords just in case! People really do stink when they have nothing else to do then to try and disrupt others lives and lively-hood! Oh well!

I am also a Seller on eBay.  It IS scary to think that hackers are able to get into big companies like eBay.

It is a good practice to change your passwords regularly; but for most of us, we know it and just don't do it.

havent noticed any issues but upon receiving the email i was quick to change my password.  glad that it didnt affect the area involved with paypal that would hav been really worrisome. dont understand why people cant just do an honest days work anymore instead of trying to steal other peoples information it is maddening.

A large portion of Ebay's customer information is under the possession of hackers... Information regarding contact name, birth date, phone number, email address, and street address. Paypal on a separate network wasn't affected. But for those in the FC community that uses Ebay, please make sure to reset/change your account password as soon as possible. Also be wary of fake emails and phone calls about recent/past ebay orders

Now I know why, I was recently receiving fake USPS emails (in my spam inbox) about picking up/verifying my ebay orders -_-

So glad I have not done any business since Dec. I have not logged on to change my password yet. I guess I need to. It is such a hassle to go back and change PW. I have to rewrite them in my code book. There are too many to remember.

I've already changed my password. It's too bad, because I really liked my other one. At least Ebay says there doesn't seem to be any evidence that any of the stolen information was improperly used, or even that it has been decrypted yet. So the faster everyone changes their passwords, the less chance the crooks will have of getting anything out of the stolen encrypted information.

I haven't changed my password on eBay but I suppose I better do that.  I had forgotten they were hacked.  Thanks for bugging my memory.

Nothing is 100% safe and secure anymore.  >:(

I've gotten a few letters over the years from various companies and banks that I do business with that their data has been compromised - so it's not limited to eBay or the Internet.  :-\

If you use the same ebay email & password for paypal, probably should change that as well.   Hackers when they crack the passwords already have everyone's email attached to ebay, they'll just put two & two together.

My ebay address is the same as paypal & I use the same passwords on both......well, did.  Changed them both just in case.  My paypal is directly connected to my bank account  :/

I am a frequent Ebay user (mostly buying), so when I did hear about the hack I immediately changed my password.  Very frustrating.  This is the reason I don't consider sites, which is meant to save multiple passwords for ease of use.  I'm sure they will eventually be hit too.
